ABOUT ABOUT

The VARIATIONS/COLLABORATIONS performance on March 28 has been cancelled, due to the COVID-19 community health advisory.  We were looking forward to sharing an exciting evening of dance and music with you, our long-time audience and newfound friends. Thank you for your interest and support of Metropolitan. There are two options for ticket holders:

1. Some of you have already asked if you can donate the value of your ticket to help us. Yes, you are able to donate the value of your ticket(s) to Metropolitan Ballet Company (a 501c-3 charitable organization). As a non-profit organization we stretch every dollar to offer high-quality performances and dance training to students from across the region. Metropolitan is able to provide scholarship dance training, pay choreographers and musicians, mount productions in our community and provide programs in School District of Philadelphia elementary schools, all with your help. We greatly appreciate your generosity and work hard every day to earn your support. The majority of the costs for Variations/Collaborations have already been incurred. So while we understand that not everyone can donate their tickets, for those of you that can we are truly grateful. Your donation will help us get back to the studio and prepare for future performances of these works when the health crisis lifts.

If you wish to donate your ticket purchase, no further action is required on your part. Following the performance date you will receive a gift acknowledgment via email for tax purposes.

2. Request a refund by emailing [email protected] by March 24, 2020. After this date, all sales will be final and ticket revenue will be accepted as donation.

Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket and our many creative collaborators.

We want to especially acknowledge our dancers who have worked tirelessly over the past weeks of rehearsals. These are remarkable young people who light up the world in these challenging times.

Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you again soon.  -- Lisa Collins Vidnovic, Artistic Director & Founder
